Every child deserves to start their school day with a full stomach and ready to learn.
At St. Mary Catholic School in Mount Forest, our School Nutrition Program provides healthy breakfasts, snacks, and lunches to our 260 students throughout the school year.
Each morning, a nutritious breakfast that includes a fruit, vegetable, grain, and protein is delivered directly to classrooms. Foods vary throughout the week and may include yogurt, cheese, cereal, bagels, and fresh produce. Lunches and extra snacks are also available through the school office for students who need them.
It costs approximately $800 to $1,000 each week to run our program. Although we receive some funding, we still rely on donations from parents, grandparents, local businesses, and our community to help cover these costs.
Our program also brings students together for special meals and celebrations, including our annual Christmas turkey dinner, Shrove Tuesday pancakes, and smoothie days.
Every donation, big or small, helps us continue providing nutritious food for our students.
Thank you for supporting the children of St. Mary Catholic School!
